Liner Notes

Matty’s debut release ‘The Ras Gong Guerrilla EP’ covers many heated and political forums such as Indigenous sovereignty, transitional lifestyles, climate change, national identity, and corruption at all levels of business and government.

The smooth roots reggae grooves pounding so strongly out of the recesses of deep bass are alluring and bring an island vibes rhythm you can chant and stomp your feet to all day!

Additional musicians: Nick Garbett (Watussi, The Strides) plays melodica on tracks 9 and 10 and trumpet on tracks 3, 4 and 5. Jeremy Rose (The Strides) plays tenor sax on tracks 3, 4 and 5 and flute on tracks 7 and 8. Dylan Heffernan plays keys on tracks 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8. David Knibbs plays lead guitar on tracks 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8.
